(I apologize for the late notice on this)
Please come to NTLUG on September 21 to hear all about
GnuPG (aka GPG) which is an OpenPGP implementation.
You'll learn about how encryption is not just
for the security guys anymore and see how it can
be used in things like email.
NTLUG will be shortly rolling out a "membership"
and voting mechanism based on GPG... so I think
it is a good idea to learn about this one. This
will help us to meet various gov't requirements
in a fashion that should protect our members
rights to privacy.
We will also be taking final nominations for
NTLUG Board positions this meeting (!!). Please
bring your nominations.
Next month will be our yearly (yearly?) Linux Fair.
A great time for fun and celebration of Linux.
I'll send a note on the discuss list to solicit
demonstration platforms.
AGENDA:
9:00am -- (whenever) Linux Installation Project
10:00am -- 11:00am Beginning Linux Training
11:00am -- 12:00pm GnuPG an OpenPGP Implementation
Directions, calendar? http://www.ntlug.org/cal.html
Enjoy!
Chris
