Chris,

Here is the link to the cracking of MD5 that I talked about last Saturday.
The hacking to MD5 algorithm is published at
http://eprint.iacr.org/2004/199.pdf

Because of this work, the open source project http://www.md5crk.com/ is
closed

Answer

Well... I forgot who the presenter is for October.
I'm pretty sure I had one lined up... if not, we'll
just have an open forum (which we haven't had in
a while anyway).

Also, we are electing the two board positions that are
up for election. Both Pete Koren and J. Jentink
are willing to seek reelection. I know I was given
at least one other nomination (but it's at home.. sorry).
I'll give anyone who wants to give a talk some time
on Saturday to tell you why they would make a good
board member. (as you can tell... I'm absolutely
lousy with regards to the democratic process... sorry
again!)

At the 10am training, Patrick Michaud will be giving
an Apache setup overview. He writes:

As requested, at tomorrow's "Linux Training" seminar (10:00am in the
main meeting room, prior to the main presentation) I'm still planning to
give an introduction to understanding, configuring, and administering
the Apache web server. If anyone has any specific questions or topics
they would like to see covered, send me an email so I can see about
   including it in my presentation.

Agenda is the usual:

9am-ish Linux Installation Project
10am Linux Training Group
11am Board Elections, TBA/Linux Q&A

Directions?
http://www.ntlug.org/directions.html
(basically it's the Nokia building at
the intersection of 114 and 161 in Irving)

Hope to see you there!
Chris
