I'm trying to locate the person(s) that wanted to do
a presentation for the September meeting.  I do lose
track of things, and I guess I can't find the email.

to let me know if you were one of those wanting
to present in September.  I think I mistakenly told
more than one person they could have the slot... so
first to chime in wins it!!

Otherwise you'll get a presentation on my home
build pvr (home build meaning... I'm not using
Myth or whatever, just a set of scripts).

Software Freedom Day is the same day as the NTLUG
meeting.  That event starts at 3pm at Dave & Busters
in Stonebriar Mall in Frisco.

Something to consider to make Saturday truly an all
day affair (for those who are able).

Come on out on Software Freedom Day to the NTLUG
meeting!  The presentation is on building your own
PVR.  The hardware used is the Hauppauge WinTV PVR
USB2.  This device works quite well with Linux, but
maybe not in the usual ways.  See how writing a
few scripts can allow you to integrate a web tv
guide site directly with watching and recording
programs.

We are meeting at King of Glory Lutheran
Church as guests of the North Texas PC Users Group.
