[NTLUG:Announce] Proxmox talk at DFWUUG Meeting May 14, 2026

Hi,

The May 14th DFWUUG meeting will be at 7 PM at Improving in Plano. Pizza
will be available about 6:30.  The meeting will be live and on Zoom.

If you plan to attend in person, please tell me by emailing me at syarus
aaattt gmail dddooottt com, so I can get a handle on pizza ordering.

Improving has offices at 5445 Legacy Drive, Suite 100, Plano, TX 75024.
That's about a mile southeast of the intersection of the Dallas Tollway and
the Sam Rayburn Tollway (Texas 121).

The Dallas Ft. Worth UNIX User´s Group offers area UNIX users the
opportunity to attend monthly meetings that include presentations from
industry experts.

Our meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month.

There is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel for DFWUUG now.
The IRC network we use is libera.chat and our channel is #dfwuug.libera.chat
is "a community platform for free and open source software and peer
directed projects."  Set your browser to libera.chat for information on
joining.


*Presentation/Talk: *
James Godfrey of Croit North America will give a talk on Proxmox as the
alternative hypervisor.


The May 14th meeting will be live and virtual through Zoom.

*The doors to the building are locked at 6 PM.* Someone will be available
to let you in after 6. There may be a note taped to the building doors with
a cell phone number on it to call to get someone to let you in.

You can get to Improving early and wait in their lobby. Improving has wifi
available for guests, should you bring a laptop. I have gotten there as
early as 5 PM.
