I am having some problems with my Netgear FA310TX
Ethernet card. I am on a 10BaseT network, using
half duplex transmission. When the system first
comes up, the tulip driver puts the card into
full duplex mode. It then recognises that the
network is only half duplex, so it shuts down the
transmitter and attempts to recover it. Sometimes
it is successful sometimes not!

The tulip driver is the one supplied by Bay Networks.
In the source for the driver is claims that the media
type can be set in options[]. Does anyone know how
this can be done? Is this a source change that I
need to make, or can it be passed via an "append"
line in /etc/linux.conf?
