[NTLUG:Discuss] More Hillcrest Questions

I have more experience with NetWare than Linux and as I
remember, Pegasus is written in messydos code for intel based
workstations. The core executables are installed on the NetWare
server. Has windowz clients as well as dos clients but all talk
to the installed core pgms. The program was written by an aussie
and he may have a linux client by now. I admit it's been a while
since I installed Pegasus. Always worked without flaw. Did it on
my home network, management at work wanted all the extra bells
and whistles.

Question... have you considered mail on the linux box using elm
or pine as the workstation clients ???

I have NetWare and NT servers at work and have a linux box on my
desk to test interconnectability. Have gotten a linux ipx client
to see the NetWare servers in bindery mode without samba. NDS
capability is something that Caldera promises. They claim to
have a NetWare management utility that you can get when you buy
their linux/NetWare CD. Can't talk about it with firsthand
knowledge though. I'm a Slackware fan. Sorry.

Unless I miss my guess their is no utility that can synchronize
linux accounts with any other network operating system (nos).
There exist utilities in each nos that will allow you to
manually synch accounts.
