[NTLUG:Discuss] completely offtopic: Hedgehog

I'm leaving for Atlanta (Georgia Tech) this Friday, and my pet African
pygmy hedgehog needs a home, at least until next summer. He's pretty
friendly, as hedgehogs go, and 3-4 years old. He eats cat food. The only
work required is cleaning his cage every couple of weeks (not a big deal
- just wash the towel). He also enjoys running around the yard (though
he usually ends up just hiding under shrubbery). Hedgehogs are native to
Africa and as such are pretty darn tough - they're covered in spines and
basically immune to ant bites and all but the worst snakes. You don't
really have to worry about other animals hurting him - they'll usually
paw at him exactly once :) Contrary to popular belief, you can pick them
up without hurting yourself. Their spines are prickly, but not lethal,
and they do not detach like porcupine spines.
If you're interested in taking care of him, or just want more info,
please give me a call at (214) 823-1607 or email me. I don't want any
$$$, but I'm very interested in giving him to someone who likes animals
and will take good care of him.
Sorry for this offtopic post, but time's running out and I'd rather give
him to an NTLUG member than a random individual from an advertisement in
a pet store... This is the perfect geek pet :)
