[NTLUG:Discuss] SMP -- How can you tell it works?

Hi,

I compiled kernel 2.2.11 for SMP with my dual Celeron based Abit BP6 and
I noticed when I ran

    # dmesg

these lines:

mtrr: your CPUs had inconsistent fixed MTRR settings
mtrr: probably your BIOS does not setup all CPUs

The kernel configuration documentation mentions that:

    CONFIG_MTRR
    ...
"Saying Y here also fixes a problem with buggy SMP BIOSes which
only
set the MTRRs for the boot CPU and not the secondary CPUs. This
can
lead to all sorts of problems."

I have set

    CONFIG_MTRR=y

Do I have a problem or not? How can I see which CPU runs which process?

Thanks,

Pete Koren
