So would this also do as a venue for my proposed "Write a video game in
24Hrs"
thing?  I guess they'd need some kind of security arrangement if there
were
going to be a half dozen or so people hacking away all night.

Then I suppose we could get cheeky and ask if it would be possible to
borrow (say) five machines from the display stands, install Linux on
them,
connect them up into a mini-LAN, add 3D adaptors, etc, etc...

Nah - perhaps we'd be better off bringing our own machines in.
