Simple Samba was Re: [NTLUG:Discuss] Linux Demo Day 99

Well, I can show a VERY simple Samba setup at the meeting. However it will
just show Win95 and Linux....which probably isn't what's giving people fits.

Anyone want to volunteer to show Linux interfacing to Win98 and NT??
The difficulty...if you don't have VMWare....is putting together all of
the HW to make the presentation effective. Our large Linux box at BEA
took the place of an NT unit. To me, it's a better example of what
people are trying to do...that is, use Samba with some security.
Unfortunately, it's unlikely it will be leaving our building anytime soon.
I could document what was done....but I'd prefer seeing someone else
do this kind of presentation (especially since I did the last one on
Samba).

There's a kazillion ways to configure Samba....I don't think one could
cover the whole gambit of permutations in a single presentation.
I wonder what kind of stuff is giving people grief. I'm sure that
people on this list could probably lend a hand with the specific
problems.

Regards,
Chris
