As mentioned at the meeting today, the Amarillo LUG is going to run the first
Amarillo Linux Convention on September 18th. There are to be 40 vendors, and
talks assortedly by folks from Caldera, Red Hat, SuSE, as well as a banquet
with Phil Hughes of SSC (Linux Journal) as the speaker.

For more direct details, see: <http://www.alug.org/amlc/index.html>

NTLUG is putting off the meeting usually held on that date to the 25th so that
our members may attend and thereby lend our support to the Amarillo LUG.

It probably makes sense for us to try to set up some car pooling so as to get
people there most readily. I'm not sure how long the drive is; if far enough,
it may make it difficult to catch either the beginning or the end without
staying in Amarillo overnight.
