It's not a secret that you have to secure your box unless you use one of the
distributions customized for internet security. Did you install an old
distribution? Did you do any updates? Did you go to the any of the linux
security sites or howto's? Can you account for all changes that might have been
made?

Do you know how they got in, telnet?, news?, ftp? or what?
I just got mine hooked up last night (ISDN) and I'm not sure how secure I
am yet.
