I'd like to see the autopsy as well.  I believe I've got my systems
locked down tight, but you never know for sure.  Were you using
ipchains?  I've found that critical to prevent some stuff from leaking
out, such as NetBEUI and portmapper.  Some items are not very
flexible in their configuration re network interfaces and yet they
-also- don't get started from inetd, so you can't use hosts.allow/deny
on them either.  ipchains is the only way to block them.
