[NTLUG:Discuss] crackers

Sorry Greg, I meant to ask Lee. Your setup sounds pretty good. I would still
recommend upgrading to 6.0 + updates for exploits. The new kernel has marvelous
networking options, ie, firewall'ing. In particular you want to add automatic
host blocking when attempted intrusions are first detected.

I've got RH5.2 installed. I'm running PAM with gated routing between my
intranet and the internet. All logins are set or blocked (*) password. I'm
running minimal services (mail) at the moment and I figured on bringing others
online as I get time. My intranet is setup as a 10.0.0.0/16 Class A. I'm also
running NIS, DNS, WINS, NFS, and autofs for domain, service, and resource
resolution. I have allow/deny trapping off all non intranet domain name
accesses to each host. I know I've still got allot of work here but little
steps before sprinting.
