Hi all,
I recently discovered that ZDTV thingy on my DSS feed
and I caught a regular program called "Screen Savers".
I was intrigued to see a LINUX license plate prominently
placed on the wall behind the hosts "Leo and Kate". Well!
I thought: "What a hoot! And on a ZD show to boot!"
Before the program was through Leo was talking about a
Free Linux CD Promotion. Hmmm ... So I popped over to
http://www.zdnet.com/zdtv/screensavers/linux/
and found that in recent weeks Leo and Kate installed
Linux live on their show, as well as covering setting
up a Linux proxy server, DHCP client and server, and
building a linux compatible PC from scratch. Cool!
The ZDTV News prog that followed had a short segment
covering the recent surge of "Linux Stocks".
Not earth shattering stuff, but still a confirmation
of just how far Linux has come into the mainstream.
And all this from ZD, which I haven't had much respect
for in many years prior to this. This is certainly an
improvement over that horrid "NetTalk Live" show.
Best,
