I started using Linux in December under the influence of the Screen Savers.
When Leo LaPorte made an appearance in July at the Richardson COMPUSA, I
asked both him and one of the producers about having more Linux on the
show. Leo was enthusiastic (naturally), but the producer seemed unhappy and
suggested that maybe they'd start a separate show for Linux (read: get
Linux off the Screen Savers). In recent months, there's been less talk
about Linux, though it's still present on the show. They field the
occasional question about it, but it's not the preoccupation it was last
year.
