I would still watch /var filesystem space while this is going on. Is it doing
some postscript conversion?
What is you /etc/printcap file? Try queueing instead of spooling. Is this
RedHat's filter system?

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] lpd's wiggin'
I am in the process of printing about 800 pages, and lpd just stops
spooling. I get about 50 pages, and it stops. I have plenty of disk
space, and lpd dir' permissions are correct I think. What else should I
look at. BTW: I am printing to a jetdirect card. log is below.
this worked flawlessly for 9 mo., but it broke.
Any suggestions? what is a cfp file? or where is it?
thanks
greg
