I'm planning on about 10-15 minutes of security at the November talk
outside of the topic of Ipchains. Mainly how to block off ports, how
to test your system, programs like portsentry, and things like that.
I do not want to demo how to hack various Linux distros but I will
cover common faults and how to test/correct them. Ray is also going to
let me talk about simple cable modem setup and configuration at the
beginners group meeting in November too. My goal is that after the two
hours you'l be able to hook your system up with a cable modem, have it
work properly, and be able to run it in a secure fashion.

If you have topics you want specifically covered in November, please
email me at david_stokes at yahoo.com to save group bandwith.
