All,

I want to invite all of you to express your thanks to Stuart Yarus,
Rick Cook, Chris Browne and Travis Farral for running a *great* NTLUG
meeting on Saturday. It was the best one I can remember in some time,
and full credit and praise should go to these 4 guys as the prime
movers behind the scenes.

If you've never done it, I suspect you have no idea how much work it
takes, both immediate and cumulative, to make things run as smoothly
as they did on Saturday. If you don't believe me, just try it
sometime.

I want to say personally that having these guys, and Chris Cox and
Mark Bickel and others who know who they are, working a lot of hours
per month on NTLUG makes my job, such as it is, very, very simple. I
appreciate their efforts very much.

PS--The idea that you have to be on the Board to be a leader or
volunteer of NTLUG could not be more wrong. No one has ever said
that. I'm not sure where this idea has originated, but it needs
stamping out. There are *lots* of things than can be done; if you have
any inclination to *work* to make things better, you should start by
subscribing to leaders at ntlug.org and then making your willingness to
help out plain. Someone *will* put you to work. It won't be sexy but
it will be rewarding and fun.
