I have never had an issue with any of the VIA chipsets in *nix " they have a
tendency to work best..... (opinion)" the only issues I have ran into was with a
TNT2 which was fixed with updates for xfree86.

Feasgar math...

Greetings,
Does anyone know of any issues that Linux might have with the VIA Chipset?
Also, I am still having alot of trouble with Linux & my S3 Virge DX/GX card.
I have tried the XF86 upgrade to ver. 3.3.5, when I run the preinst.sh file
I get 'syntax error near token ring in line 60', an it stops running. I have
also tried the .rpm upgrade of the SVGA package found on the SuSE website.
Installs fine - but still cant get any GUI action goin. Any ideas?

Greagh
