if you have multiple swap partitions, it will write to them in parallel,
if they are given the same priority in the /etc/fstab which could allow
for better preformance with swap. It is going to depend on the types of
drives and their performance... If they are on seperate drives this
would help because it is not waiting on a single drive, but this is
theory, I haven't seen any benchmarks on this.
