[NTLUG:Discuss] ppp dialer from console

Someone please tell me how to make a ppp dialer work from my console...would be nice to be able to do it without 19 different scripts....and something that would work with what was installed with my redhat 5.2 installation....I can get the ppp-on stuff to work...partially...it connects and stays on for about 5 minutes but acts like it doesn't authenicate out on the server. Anyone have any ideas?
