You know - that's what I *thought* it was called - but SuSE 6.2
doesn't seem to install it by default...oh well dig out those CD's!

...Which is in interesting contrast to the fault indicator system which
would consist of a single large red light marked "Core Dump" that would
cover all circumstances such as low fuel, scratched paintwork, flat tire
or melted engine block.

Come to think of it, the "Check Engine" light on my minivan isn't too
far
from that!  Going to the Pontiac dealer to "read out the error codes"
isn't that different from core dump analysis with gdb.  They need to
open-source that sucker so I can save the $60 they charge to do it!
