Someone already mentioned tkCvs. There's also WebCvs (I think that's
the name). It supposedly works quite well for allowing people to see
source (get) and see logs. But it's big downfall is that you can't
commit with it. But if you don't have that need, then you should look
at it.
After fighting with CVS enough, I'm tired of it and am currently holding
my breath for BitKeeper to be released so I can look at that
(www.bitkeeper.com). It's rumored to be the "saviour of CM for the Open
Source world" (take that with the few bags of salt in which it was
written. :-) But it's write up looks good, so I really am hoping. You
might want to check that out too.
The big thing with CVS is be sure that your work paradigm matches its
paradigm. Mine doesn't, and that is what has soured CVS for me. But it
may be great for you; don't let me kill it for you.
