[NTLUG:Discuss] OT: Apache: Front Page Extensions??

hey everyone...
I have this user who is asking me if our web server supports Front Page
extensions. What the hell are front page extensions? Anyways I am running
Apache 1.3.9 on both a WinNT and Linux boxes and was wondering how hard this
is to do to get apache to recognize whatever these front page extensions
are.  The user sent me 4 links that are either very vague or outdated or
have nothing to do with the OS's I am running.. Should I even bother doing
this???
