I saw Issue #1 about a month ago at Barnes & Noble at 15th & Central
Expwy. Plano. Having read through
the issue at the newsstand I determined that it was a rag not worth
spending my money on. It did include a
CD of Mandrake 6.1, and it looks like they are a bi-monthly, planning on
6 issues/year - each w/ a CD-ROM.
Technical innaccuracies, over-generalization and over-simplification,
lack of technical depth seem to be
the main symptoms here. Absolutely worthless as a programming/hacking
resource. Lots of color and hype -
no depth. Why bother? Linux Journal continues to be the value leader in
my book. $22/yr. subsrciption price.
In fact, I just sent in my renewal today.
