I guess use mkswap to reformat your swap partition. of course you'd
want to turn swaping off before you did so. 
man swapoff  

or just boot of another disk or something then format that partition.

However, I would want to make sure what you are thinking is happening
is really happening before you consider doing anything with the 
swap partition.
