And don't forget, just because GTE provides the line doesn't mean that
you have to use GTE as the ISP. I use DirectLink. I've had their
service for almost a year now and have had very little trouble. Most
of my DSL problems have been telco related. They have no trobles with
people using Linux. I don't know if you would say they "support" Linux,
I've never thought about asking them a Linux support question, but
they've certainly never given me any grief because I run it.
