[NTLUG:Discuss] Crosscompiling...

I want to thank everyone for the non-help. But if you are interested, I
solved my problem by Reading the Crosscompiling-Howto now updated (it
wasn't updated when I wrote this original message) to include gcc-2.95.2
and, if you are using RedHat 6.1 like I am, do the method that makes the
entire structure into a single tree system (the howto tells how to run the
one-tree script). Doing so will satisfy all the links and let the binutils
tools and crosscompiler to be built correctly. If you go the 3 step method
(build binutils, then gcc seperately), then you are asking for trouble
since RedHat has strange links (some that will take you into the source of
the kernel you have compiled....and if you've never compiled the kernel,
the links will point to nonexistant directories and files). Be advised
that the one-tree script will only work with newlib sources, not glibc
sources.

--Happy new year!
