[NTLUG:Discuss] Photo CDs

Has anyone played with Photo CDs using Linux?  What format (jpeg) do these
come in?  I'd like to start getting all those tons of negatives converted
but I can't find any info on the format the photo files come in.  I
checked out the Kodak site and they don't give any real information beyond
needing Windows to run their software.  I assume the actual files are a
standard image format that GIMP (for example) can read.
