[NTLUG:Discuss] More Open Source squabbling?

Yesterday I went over to the LDP to update my copy of the RPM How-To. 
With just a shade of attitude, the author has apparently severed ties
with LDP, and moved his docs over to OSWG. It took a few minutes to find
a valid link to OSWG (there were a lot of linuxchix links in the google
search).  It looks like another documentation project under Open Source.

What's going on with this DocBook crap?  Is the end of text-based
documentation near?  And what's with this guy's attitude about the LDP
having "to learn to pull"?
