[NTLUG:Discuss] Acer 501T patch problem

The problem with the Acer Laptop is the APM thing. The system boots
normaly if lunux apm=off is typed at the LILO prompt.

I am running RH6.0 on my Acer 501T and I have tryed both of the APM
patches and I can't get them to work. after typing patch -p0
acer_apm_patch I receive the following error:

Hunk #1 FAILED at 1349
1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to apm.c.rej

When I vi apm.c.rej it is the patch with a ^M after each line.
