        Heh.  I had a similar reaction to qmail when I first attempted to
set it up about two years ago.  However, upon going back one last time and
and giving up my assumptions that qmail should install like/similar to any
other piece of software, I followed the installation directions to the
letter, and it worked flawlessly upon completion.

	Then I went and read Life With Qmail (there's a link to it on
www.qmail.org, bout a 4 hour read), and as of now, I can't imagine any
other mail daemon I would use.  Qmail is blindingly fast, incredibly
secure, trivial to modify, and as reliable as a piece of software can be.
Anyway, I agree, that the first time ya setup of qmail is a &%$#, but once
you get the hang of it, you'll never go back.
