It appears that there is a SERIOUS bug in the times
routine.  It is supposed to return a type of clock_t
which is supposed to contain the number of clock ticks
since the last system reboot.  The problem is that once
the system has been up for 248 days, 13 hours, 13 minutes,
56 seconds or so, times will always return 0xffffffff.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem or have a work-a-round?
