I just wanted to comment on this. Linux can handle drives that your BIOS
doesn't support very well. This came up in the beginner's meeting as well
with the 512 (or whatever it was) hard drive limit. I've used larger
drives than that regularly on BIOS's that don't support them. Also, BIOS
doesn't even have to see your drive at all for Linux to find it. I've on
occasion left drives undetected, and then used them under Linux.
