I'm ftp-ing into a machine which runs ProFTPD as its ftp daemon. When I
upload files, I want them to automatically be given permission of 755.
In /etc/proftpd.conf on the hosting machine, there is a line that reads:
Umask 022
and if I telnet into the box (as the same user) and type `umask`, it
reports 022. Shouldn't this make it do what I'm wanting it to do??
Every file that is uploaded is set 640 and it's driving me NUTS.
Any and all help is appreciated.
