Hi all,
For some time I've been doing some consulting for different guys here in the
area where I live. After going around recommending configuration for systems
some of the guys have been asking me about the following:
Which is the best rated equipment for ISP ( Digital and Analog)
TOTAL CONTROL (3COM-USR), EQUINOX, LUCENT or NORTEL NETWORKS equipment?
Which company offers the best tech support without ripping you off?
What would it be a good server recommendation ( as far as RAM, PROCESSOR,
etc) to handle about 300 or 400 workstations having this server as a
firewall thru IPCHAINS?
Note: The area where I live, cable modem, DSL or any other type of higher
speed solution (except satellite services like DIRECT TV) is not an option.
According to Pacific Bell and the local cable provider, none of these
services are going to be available for some years.
