I would think that the option processing would have to be done locally...even
if it required some configuration information just because of the differences
between SysV and BSD print systems.....but I could be wrong. So in your example
the options would not get passed to the remote printer queue, but rather the
data would get processed locally and then sent to the remote queue.
....oops...scrap that!! Just looked at the HOWTO....seems that if you want
local filtering, you may have to setup a double queue...that is a local queue
which does the filtering and then sends automatically to another queue which
does the sending to the remote queue. See the Printing-HOWTO.
