[NTLUG:Discuss] mail server question

I need to move my domain to my in house network.

I will need http, ftp, and mail services running. I have http, and ftp
runnin in at least a usable manner.

Mail is another thing. I don't know where to start. I have send mail
running on one machine and postfix on another. If I understand that only
means I can get mail from the Internet but not deliver it locally.

I really just need someone to tell me what setting to put where. As
usual all the books I have assume I already know about all the
configuration options and don't tell me how to set up the software in
the first place.

Some day someone will write *nix books which actually teach a new user
how to do something. I haven't seen one yet.
