[NTLUG:Discuss] mail server question

I want to test the system before I move the domain. Can I use the
routable IP address of my router? I am using NAT and the mail server is
not on the router. I am using a nonsense domain (nest.home) for the in
house network and running a caching DNS on the router. Is that going to
be a source of problems? If so, what should I use for the in house
domain name?

Thanks,
Bobby
