If you're using RedHat, step through the Xconfigurator to build a new XF86Config
file, or edit it manually at /etc/X11/XF86Config. Another option is to use the
XF86Setup program, but you may need to install the utility from CD (not all
distributions install it by default).

I can't believe it but I am reduced to using Windoze.

I just had a momentary power failure and two of my Linux boxen have the
follwoing error when trying to load X Windows.

_FontTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
failed to set default font path 'unix/:-1'
Fatal server error:
could not open default font 'fixed'

I bet it's just a config file but I don't know where to look.
