FWIW, dunno if this'll help either but...  try putting slashes ('/') just
before the colons (':') in each line.  I looked in my XF86config file and
noticed the trailing slashes.  Dunno...  but mine's woiking.  Alas, mine's
an older version so YMMV (quite a bit, I s'pect). 

e.g.	/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled,
