CHeck the log files for error messages. I remember suggesting this
before, but I don't remember if it was you or someone else, and I don't
remember seeing a response. Look in /var/log on most Distros, usually
in messages (you can less it or grep for xfs to see any relevant data).
If there isn't anything in there, you may want to try starting xfs
manually to see if any messages are being lost by the init scripts.
Just ideas.
