[NTLUG:Discuss] xfs weirdness

The only thing from strace that looks odd to me (and I have no idea what
I am looking at) is:

open("/etc/ld.so.preload", O_RDONLY)    = -1 ENOENT (No such file or
directory)

I have /etc/X11/XF86Config and /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config they are
identical.
Both have the following line:

   FontPath  
"/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc:unscaled,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/7
5dpi:unscaled,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/
Type1,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc,/usr/X11R6/l
ib/X11/fonts/75dpi,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi"
