First off, I am volunteering to help, there's just a couple of catches
that I have no control over. One, I'm expecting to hear about a job
here in a couple of days, it'll be a compressed shift (12 hrs a day with
4 days on, 3 days off, 3 on, 4 off...repeat) so I may or may not have
those days off. If I'm not off, there may be a chance that I can move
to another shift temporarily, I have several months to work this out so
we'll see. Second, I may end up getting a job somewhere else, so that
may be another kink.
In any case, I would be more than willing to offer my system for
demonstration purposes, it's quite capable despite running on old
hardware.

As in we have the room ALL day for TWO full days, if that's the case
it'd be great for multimedia stuff (TV, DVD, XMMS, games etc...).

Hey, I'm a whiz with electrical stuff. :)

I can drag my system down there, it would probably make an excellent
demonstration of Linux's multimedia capabilities. I also have an
excellent audio system to go with it (50 watts RMS x 4), so maybe we
could have a special demonstration with full theater sound (Dolby
ProLogic!) in the presentation room? I really don't mind tearing it
apart and dragging it to the show, I need to untangle that mess of
cables anyway. :)
Should I drag it to a meeting someday to let everyone see what I have?

Hey, I can show off, no problem there. :) I have some MP3s that ought
to catch some attention.

Have GIMP (1.0.2), but only use it rarely.

We'll get it.
