Wait, I thought I was the new list admin... you can't say that now. :~)

Seriously, the problem is that we have, like I said, over 260+ people on
this list, a few have stated they want the press releases, but I would
say that we have heard from less than 10% of all the people (BTW, the
260+ does not include digest members).  We just don't want the list to
be come a useless dumping ground for information only 5% - 10% of the
list wants and the rest couldn't care less about.  We want to keep this
about relevant issues, that is why I said, if it is a press release and
you want to start a discussion about it, that is different than just
sending the press release without anything else.

With all this said, if you feel you need to post a press release, just
think whether or not people will really get something out of it, or is
it just going to waist bandwidth and entertain a couple of the people
here and there.
Try to use your best judgment.
