	Hi, all --

In Net time, this constitutes "ancient history" now. Still, I'm gonna
post it, just in case anyone missed it on Linux Today et al., or in the
local papers. It's too good to miss, I think.

Lead article in "personal technology" section of local paper on Thurs.,
titled: "Linux casts a lengthening shadow.....In the battle for the
desktop, the maverick operating system is gaining acceptance....."

In hard copy, it was about 2 full pages of the paper. I found stuff in
it I didn't agree with (notably, their talking about some lack of
compatible desktop software -- StarOfc? WordPerf? ApplixWare? Abiword?
KOffice?) Still, it was a pretty nice treatment of the subject, I
thought. Some treatment (a little superficial, but still nice) of "open
source" concepts. Plus, it gave significant attention to NTLUG.

	It's at:
http://dallasnews.com/technology/53259_linux_23per.AR.html

(or at least it was yesterday). Linux is free (speech). It's got more
apps, all the time. People, around the world, fix bugs and make
improvements. It's economical. Life is good.
