[NTLUG:Discuss] Req For opinions:Overclocking K6-3 400Mhz

The price of Athlons is starting to come down. I recently saw a 500 MHz
Athlon with the FIC system board advertised for $259, at Fry's I think. The
only downsides I'm aware of with the FIC board are that it only has one COM
port and one ISA slot. I'm one of those weirdos who is now willing to pay
extra for COM ports and ISA slots, so I got the more expensive MSI system
board.

BTW, you can't easily overclock an Athlon. It is possible, but you have to
open the CPU cartridge, desolder some surface mount resistors, and resolder
them down in the correct locations. I'm not willing to try it myself.
