You need an external DSL modem with an ethernet port. plug a hub into
the DSL ethernet port with an ethernet cable, and plug the linux box into
the hub with an ethernet cable. (Or you could use an uplink cable and plug
the linux box directly into the DSL modem).
set your ip address on the linux box to be the one they give you.
