The program you speak of is "xplorer".  There used to be a
web page for it at http://x-plorer.org.  If you use Mandrake 7.0,
you can grab the RPM at
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/Mandrake/7.0/Mandrake/RPMS/xplorer-0.74-3mdk.i586.rpm.
 From the looks of it, all development has stopped.
